This morning I walked out of the house and was hit with the familiar sounds, sights and smells of Beijing. Wisps of smoke from a vat of tar, a layer of cement dust on the ground, hammers clanging away on metal, the piercing sound of a buzz saw slicing through metal, the grey haze enveloping the distant buildings. <p>This morning I walked out of the house and was hit with the familiar sounds, sights and smells of Beijing. Wisps of smoke from a vat of tar, a layer of cement dust on the ground, hammers clanging away on metal, the piercing sound of a buzz saw slicing through metal, the grey haze enveloping the distant buildings. As I made my way beyond the construction, bitter sweet memories from Beijing continued to wash over me and for a fleeting moment I longed to be back in The Center&#8230;</p>
